Most of default bangap parameters are borrowed from big review on AlInGaN properties (reference 13, attached). As you can see from this review, there was a big discussion about the bowing parameter for the InGaN bandgap. As a result, 1.4eV is recommended which is slightly higher that SiLENSe default parameter. Since new value is close to the our old default parameter, we kept old value. Maybe, we will reconsider it later.
Anyway, user is welcome to specify his own value. There are two ways to do it:
(i) Make new copy of the database of material properties, modify it by Properties Editor, and import new database into new or existing *.sls
project.
(ii) Just manually modify the value in the *.sls file in any text editor. It is very convenient for minor changes.
